At Fountainhill we pride ourselves on catering to the needs of our nature lovers, under the guidance of private environmental specialists, no matter their age. During April and May, Lee Fuller, renowned wildlife photographic expedition leader and wilderness survival skills group leader and his group of kids for the first time, last month.  We were also delighted to have David & Sally Johnson, floral and ornithological specialists, with a group of mature nature enthusiasts.

Lee Fuller’s debut Wilderness skills course at Fountainhill Estate was a resounding success! He led a group of 11 children over a two day camping trip. The kids had a fantastic time during which they were responsible for cooking their own food. They loved being up close with the animals on the estate and spent time learning about animal tracks.

David & Sally Johnson hosted their fourth “Birding & Indigenous Flora” weekend with us. They were accompanied by a delightful group of 8 people as well as our in-house FGASA trained guide Nicholas. They were all accommodated in our comfortable lodge suites. Overall the group were treated with wonderful weather and beautiful sightings, and had the following to say:

’Thank you for that most amazing weekend – being with you just makes every aspect of the world come alive, and we learnt so much about so many creatures and trees.  Thank you for the incredible effort you put into educating us …………     ……….. The weekend worked so well, lovely people, a good mixture of walking and driving, and the best is that we could call a stop for the flimsiest sighting. ……… charming and helpful staff, and our extremely comfortable honeymoon suite.’’ – Mike and Wendy
